What does it take to sell profitably and successfully online? If you ask that question in ten different places, you will most likely get a million different answers! But not today at 12:30 Today Jay Berkowitz and I will discuss the Ten Golden Rules of eCommerce in a Internet Marketing Club Webinar I am a […]
Why oh Why eBay, did you not think of That! Hmmmm – maybe eBay can sign up for Google Commerce Search and scrap this whole “finding” experiment… Maybe with Google Merchant Center Search installed on eBay.com, the term Best Match might actually mean that the best product matching the search terms entered will be presented.
Free is good and Internet marketing education is everything… therefore, why not combine the two great opportunities to learn for free in one article? Read about Jay Berkowitz’s new Internet Marketing Club and Jeremy Shoemakers Free 12 Week Course
I have tried the old fashioned methods of web rings and I have gone through all of the can’t miss super affiliate long sales letter “Systems” for building links and page rank and ultimately traffic and I know there are very few easy or free ways to build up traffic to a site besides old fashioned content generation (some say free – I say valuable) and a well placed and yes – monetized link building plan.

No matter what business you are in, no matter what you sell, no matter who you work for or if you are an attorney or a broker or a architect or a ditch digger – there are people out there that want to know what you know and they will find the information you publish – if you leave enough “clues” to follow.
Robert Scoble is a fairly famous blogger, videographer, photographer and all around tech critic/guru. he has worked with all of the big tech conglomerates including Microsoft, Fast Money, and now RackSpace
The Vendio Platform is a complete eCommerce solution that includes a robust, feature-rich online store as well as item, order and customer management – all for free. It doesn’t matter whether a merchant sells 10 or 10,000 items in their Vendio store – they pay no web hosting fees, imaging hosting fees, listing fees or success fees. There is no catch. No gimmicks.
No one would argue that as a civilization we as humans have evolved. From pre-historic times when humans huddled together in small groups to survive the rigors of the natural elements they lived within, to the days of vast nation states that massed the will of their people into one awe inspiring force. Social networks of all kinds have been at the core of the human experience.
Vzaar is an easy to use, easy to utilize and effective video embed marketing tool. A tool that allows the merchant the ability to keep his/her viewer interested in in his or her product and not go wandering off into the video surfing darkness.
Vzaar is cost effective, easy to setup and allows eBay sellers to embed videos in hundreds of live eBay listings with a click of a button.
Vzaar is worth a try – take a look at the videos in the sidebar here on the Trading Assistant Journal to see how people use Vzaar to sell Guitars or to see how easy it is to setup. What have you got to lose when the initial cost is zero and the upside is you could start engaging your customers like never before!
Bonanzle is a very interesting and ever expanding marketplace that has piqued mine and several thousand other peoples interest. The entire massive and ever expanding groundswell of acceptance has not come from 50 people repeating the same comments (something I have a problem with – please be original BAC members i.e. paraphrase your comments please) on several blogs. The interest has come both from within and from outside the community. The BAC members are simply reaching outside the site to make the site known to those who have never been exposed. From there the decision is completely in the consumers hands, try Bonanzle or not – it is up to the potential member. The BAC does nothing to trick or deceive people into trying the site.
Customer Service is the Difference
The winners of 2008 include companies like Amazon.com, Zappos.com and Apple. These outstanding companies have one thing in common, the perception (at least) that they provide outstanding customer service to their customers.
The idea is simple, No BS eCommerce, eBay and eBusiness. We won’t be selling and DVD sets and we won’t be pulling any punches when it comes to sharing our opinions about anything to do with the industry. We know that as co-hosts we will not always agree on every subject but this is also what we think will make us unique.
From basic eCommerce to business oriented informational and corporate websites to personal blogs, real estate sales, or news magazines. Wordpress as a CMS is the king of customization.
If you have been considering building a website to promote your own Bonanzle or Etsy, or Online Auction or even eBay sales… Just get out there and do it! The biggest step is the first one, and we all know after that, its all just a matter of following through. Cliff Aliperti, is following through!
In my view, using the power of content and information in a small business is the new marketing plan. Inform, entertain, teach, share and contribute. Your customers want to know they can trust you, your customers will go where they can find out more information about your products. If you do not have a place for them to find that information, your customers will go elsewhere.
I have not seen how it works, but apparently ITS’s VINterchange system has the capability of automatically populating eBay listings with all of the OEM parts information needed to sell these parts to the public in a fast and efficient manner. This could revolutionize the used auto parts industry on eBay motors.
One of the biggest pain points for buyers on eBay is the checkout process. With all of the third party solutions and off eBay checkout links there is no standardization of the payment process. Payflow is a secure, reliable payment gateway now integrated into the eBay checkout.
Twibler does not post any statistics about increases in sales due to the use of the service, and I suspect they never will. Are you really ready to bet your social marketing plan on a single untested and ill conceived RSS feed reader for eBay?
Today Sue Bailey posted an article on Tamebay which in my mind presents the view of global sellers on eBay in a very succinct and reasonable way. Sue touches on almost every aspect of the frustration and the disappointment eBay sellers are feeling. Her points are well intended and in my view quite accurate.

Tjoos.com is just one more way to bring traffic to your online store website or weBay Store, why not read the press release below and drop on over to Tjoos.com for a look… It could be a good day for finding new coupon shoppers!
I asked Cliff to explain Amazon FBA to our readers here at the Trading Assistant Journal because we are always aware of the desire to look outside of eBay and learn about eBay competition. Naturally Amazon is one of the first places eBay sellers think about when considering a switch.
Online Auction.com CEO Chris Fain, during a live Internet Radio show presented by ECMRN (e-commerce Marketing Radio Network) , detailed a plan to charge buyers $8.00 a month subscription for access to buy from the auction venue in the future.
The following statement “a small percentage of PayPal customers are effected” by this impending IRS & Online sales tax issue, says little for PayPal or eBay as a route to business success . I mean… if the use of PayPal as a business solution to process payments from online sales, is a healthy concern, wouldnt more than a “small percentage” of PayPal users be effected by this IRS fact finding mission?
According to our recent Trading Assistant Journal/Polldaddy.com Poll, …with over 10% of the IMA membership responding, we can predict that the IMA has lost almost 50% of its membership to PeSA. With over 89% of the membership (who responded to our poll) leaving altogether… And then there were 2… Only 2 of the respondents stated they […]
eBCalc is now a multi-channel fee calculator with more functionality than ever before. Not only will eBCalc return results for eBay’s many marketplaces and fee structures but it will now also help with fee calculation for many other marketplaces such as Amazon.com, Overstock.com and Etsy
After I uploaded my first Flowgram iBusinessLogic Web Development Projects 2008 admittedly late in the night, when I should not have been working… I tried to get fancy by using some of the other interesting capabilities of the Flowgram service.
